These Amazonas wide brim Tarphats with rare print markings are very rare indeed and are made from recycled tarpaulins from open cargo trucks that run from Amazonas North west to the south of Brazil along thousands of miles of unmade red dust laden tracks with rain with sun & dust aging the material in a way that no factory could ever replicate. After which the material is washed and prepared ready to be made into "probably" the best original Brazilian tarp hats around. So all of the hats have seen more weather than most of us might see in a lifetime and do not need any looking after and are ready for their next job of keeping the elements off of you whilst looking rather cool at the same time.
All of the hats are individual with no two being the same, some will have repair patches on others will have stamps or writing on , this all adds to their charm and they are as individual as all of us…no mass production here , just individual style!. My 2nd wide brimmed hat after some rough use over the years left my 1st hat tatty and a broken wire rim that I was unable to fix. Im sure this will serve me well look forward to years of service from my unique hat. Full marks for service as I accidentally ordered the wrong size and the guys responded immediately confirming they would correct my order. I shall be wearing this on my regular walks in the Lake District where I now live and expect it will help break the ice meeting random visitors to my new neighbourhood.

I absolutely love this hat in all my 29 years Ive never been a hat person but trying on one of these hats at the Eden project changed my love for hats initially i put it back on the shelf but regretted it eveey day until i came across the website and treated myself. After several years with my first tarp hat I simply fancied having a second one but limited edition with unique lettering and patches.The first is still going well with lots of character although the original grommets were deteriorating and replaced with larger brass rings I now have the choice of which to wear. Love them both.

As this is my second purchase of a tarp hat with Rare markings Im afraid I have to mark it down on the markings as compared to the first hat they are very subdued and a little disappointing. Luck of the draw I suppose but maybe wont pay the extra for future purchases. Other than that the build quality is very good nice packaging and prompt delivery.

The rare print has quite clearly been added and not original to the material. A bit of a let down to be honest.----------Hi Mike, We have just seen your feedback, we definitely don't want you feeling "Let Down" All of our hats are made from recycled materials, we use as much of the tarpaulin as we can including patching holes in them with other bits of tarp, if we did not do this 70% of the material would be thrown away. Im not much of a hat wearer but i saw a ad for Tarphat on a well known social media site and thought looked cool and different after reading about them I ordered one with the rare print markings and a wallet I placed my order on Monday night and the package came Wednesday dinnertime.The hat is amazing and im sure will get well worn going camping at the weekend so will be the first test the wallet is very basic but looks really good compared with my old Spiderman one.First impressions are that im very happy and will look at what else is on offer I know for sure that i wont see anyone else wearing a hat the same as mine.Thank you for the fast delivery and will be looking forward to more orders in the near future.

An excellent product which came highly recommended by the doctor administering my vaccine having seen the sunburn lines around my bald head This fits exactly as described measure your head as per the website.This is the first hat that I have ever owned that fitted first time. It comes very well packaged and really quickly.The only thing I would change is the elastic headband would be better as something that absorbs sweat. Maybe an elasticated towelling material

the hat is beautiful and fits perfectly all that I wanted will be used in an upcoming fishing trip the only thing I would suggest is the plastic toggle you use to adjust the neck strap could be made of wood to be more environmentally friendly I would pay extra for a wooden one

As a hat lover with far too many hats I have to say that they all pale into insignificance compared to my new Tarp Hat. It is lightweight but sturdy and I forget I am wearing it. On its first outing I wore it for in excess of four hours and was delighted not to find a depression mark around my forehead. I love this hat and Ive already started to give my other hats away. Im already thinking about buying another Tarp Hat...

I found the hat a comfortable snug fit thanks to the inner band. If there is a downside Id get the leather hold down rather than the woven one I find it too stiff may loosen up over time.

Having had my hat for a couple of weeks now Im so glad I bought it. I ummed and ahhed for ages... Would it be making too much of a statement would it be heavy was it a bit pricey for a recycled product In fact its just perfect for my needs and will last years. I went for the printed version for a bit more character and its clear someone made a real effort to line it up to best effect. Customer service was excellent. If anything the hat is marginally large for size but that means I can comfortably squidge a ponytail under it so ideal for me... But I really really recommend the windstrap to go with it as otherwise opportunities to wear it on the windy east coast would be quite limited

I have had my Tarphat for a couple of weeks now and can honestly say its one of the best lookingcomfortable hats I have owned. The service recieved was excellent and the only query I had which was that the hat was slightly large was sorted that day with a quick email and adjusters sent out. I have been looking for a hat to use primarly for work being a photographer working outside I rely on a great hat to keep the british elements off of me and the camera as much as possI would highly recomment as they are uniquegood looking and comfortable.thanks.

I have just received my Tarp Hat and I am more than happy with the quality looks and service.The hat has a certain rustic charm which can only be made by using genuine used materials.The look of the hat is fantastic.I have bought the hat for a trip to Bali where I will be photographing butterflies and need to keep the sun off my head.The quality of the hat is very good and looks like it will last for many years.The time from placing the order to the goods being delivered was 2 days which is genuine good old fashioned service and just how it should be done.I will be ordering another hat as I love the idea of each being unique.
