The Extreme Patch Amazonas wide brim Tarphat is made from recycled tarpaulins from open cargo trucks that run from Amazonas North west to the south of Brazil along thousands of miles of unmade red dust laden tracks with rain with sun & dust aging the material in a way that no factory could ever replicate. After which the material is washed and prepared ready to be made into "probably" the best original Brazilian tarp hats around. So all of the hats have seen more weather than most of us might see in a lifetime and do not need any looking after and are ready for their next job of keeping the elements off of you whilst looking rather cool at the same time.
All of the hats are individual with no two being the same, some will have repair patches on others will have stamps or writing on , this all adds to their charm and they are as individual as all of us…no mass production here , just individual style!. I have always had problems getting hats that fit me as I have a large head. I was surprised at how big these hats were and how comfortable they are. I have just bought another one as I lost my previous one and when I ordered I saw that they even went up to XXXXL. They are great hats and are a talking point due to their construction.

Ive always found it difficult it getting hats to fit. But these are perfect. No two hats are the same.They look marvellous. The first had that came had a slight fault. Extremely happy with my hat I was walking up in the hills and got caught in the most ridiculous downpour and being a glasses wearer Im used to just being blinded by rain on my glasses - but not this time Works really well - Ive never had a hat this good before. Surprised how well it stays on my head when its breezy considering its got quite a broad brim. Ive had compliments on how good it looks and how much I DONT look like a folksinger which was a fear LOL. Delivered in really minimal packaging it looks like it would travel really well too packed flat in a suitcase as squashing the crown part of the hat doesnt affect it at all. I am very very pleased with this hat

Took advantage of the summer discount deal and got 3 of my sons a Tarphat each to put away for Christmas. Ive owned a wide brim Tarphat for about a year now and pretty much live in it my eldest son has commented a couple of times that hed like one so thats what hes getting . My other two boys prefer to wear baseball caps so I ordered an original also a vented as they both like to be individual. All three hats look amazing and turned up within 4 days which was a pleasant surprise and very well packaged. Got to admit I really am looking forward to seeing their faces come Christmas Day.

It came super fast so quickly in fact that when I went to collect the parcel I couldnt work out what it was as I wasnt expecting the parcel so soon. Packaging was spot on no plastic It is the perfect fit not too loose or too tight like baby bears porridge its just right. I like the style and look of it the only minor point is the number of patches. 2 patches is not what I would consider extreme was hoping for a bit more of a distressed repaired look.This however is a minor point compared to quality of manufacture fit and how long it is likely to last.Top hat.

I bought two hats recently and I have to say its the best retail experience I can remember I spoke to the company as I wanted to make sure I would get one of them for Christmas and the gentleman I spoke to was so lovely. I was attracted by the ethics of the company and for this I am always willing to be more patient etc - but Tarphat were amazingly quick and efficient I was notified where my parcel was and then when I would get it which was reassuring. I have been looking for a hat for all weathers and I think I have finally found it the quality is great and the look is unique. I have been wearing this whilst building my new workshop and it has kept the sun and the rain off without losing any shape.I particularly love the fact that this has been made from recycled products.A great product and I will be taking a look at some more of your items.

Very satisfied excellent product only slight drawback was the lack of instructions for the leather chin strap The Utube video didnt really help as it didnt seem to apply to my hat.

Its not very often you stumble across a product that you cannot fault but with tarphat.co.uk and my hat with extreme patches I did just that. A well placed add and a few clicks later and I was on their website. For years Ive been looking for an Aussie type hat but lets face it they all look a bit new and shinny. After finding the Tarp Hat Company I decided to take the plunge and order a extreme patches wide brim hat and its brilliant. its made well and looks like youve had it for years....which is a good point I might add. Im an outdoor sort of guy whether its holidaying walking or just taking the dog out and it goes with me most places and it is great for when the sun is out or having a snooze under. Since buying its Ive ordered a Camo Paracord hat band to make it more unique and recently Ive bought a Childs hat for my son floppy hat for my daughter and a Castro style hat for my wife.....we are pretty much Tarped out now....and are looking forward to our camping expo in a weeks time. Ill sendpost you a photo at some point. the delivery has been excellent and extremely fast we actually sent one back and the guys even posted me out the replacement hat before receiving delivery of the returned one as we wanted it before we went on holiday.......communication has been great and always very prompt in replying and I will be recommending you to all I meet...thanks for everything youve done....Im saving up for a messenger bag next...cheers

May I say what an unbridled gusset-dampening pleasure it was to take delivery of an honest to goodness old-fashioned parcel the like of which I havent seen since I was knee-high to Queen Victoria. In fact the last last parcel I saw that was so well constructed contained Queen Victorias favorite false knees.The hat Damn me if it doesnt fit perfectly with its cunningly oval-shaped orifice slipping neatly - but not too tightly - over the steel plates in my head. Putting the brim of the hat towards the bottom instead of the top was sheer genius and the whole ensemble is currently sitting on my ears as lightly as a badger sits on a commode in springtime.In short its perfection and I thank you. Over time I may find other clothing worthy of being worn at the same time as this hat but until then I leave you as I shall leave the house for my office each morning under the shade of my extreme patches wide-brim and just a light dusting of medicated talcum powder about my crevices.Rest assured that whenever I am not in Police custody - perhaps even when I am if the acoustics of the cell are suitable - I shall yodel your interwebnetonline site address to all and sundry.From the talcum-dusted slightly wobbly bottom of my heart I thank you.Ian H.

What a great unpretentious hat a good hat has to fit psychologically as well as size to make it a comfy hat and this is the best I have ever owned fitting all requirements perfectly. Thank you the Tarp Hat Company.
